Movement Theory is COPPA-compliant for dancers under 13. You create the account, you verify your child, you decide what data stays and what gets deleted.
You sign up first
Create the parent account with your own email. Confirm it like any other account.
Add your dancer
Add your child's name and age. We use the age to calibrate age-appropriate feedback. Nothing else.
They dance
Hand them the iPhone. They record. They get feedback. They improve. Their account lives under yours.

Common questions
How does the under-13 sign-up work? +
If a dancer under 13 tries to sign up directly, we redirect them to a parent-verification flow. The parent creates the account, confirms their email, and adds the child as a dancer on their profile. The child can't use the app until that step is complete.
What data does Movement Theory collect about my child? +
Pose landmarks from videos they record (used to score the session), session scores and notes, the dancer's name and age (so we can calibrate age-appropriate feedback), and the parent's email. We don't collect contact info from the child directly. We don't sell or share data with advertisers.
Can I review or delete my child’s data? +
Yes. From your parent account you can review every session your child has recorded, delete individual sessions, or delete their entire profile. Deletion is permanent and removes the data from our servers within 30 days.
Where is the video stored? +
Pose analysis happens on-device. Recorded videos are kept locally on the iPhone or iPad and aren't uploaded to our servers in normal use. Only the resulting pose data and session score are saved to your account.
How do I revoke consent? +
Email support@movementtheory.app from the address used for the parent account, or delete the dancer profile from inside the app. Either action revokes consent and triggers data deletion.
How many dancers can I add to one account? +
One on the Free or Premium plan. Up to four on Premium Family, the annual plan built for parents with multiple dancers. Each child gets their own progress history, achievements, exercises, and nutrition log.
